Konichiwa Fellow Providers (Hello in Japanese as I am in Japan for vacation) ,
Here are the steps on how to request Haiku/Canto for your iPad or iPhones. Please note Android devices do work, but the because there are so many different versions of Android, CCHS is not providing support on how to configure the devices (IE you are on your own, but it will work as we have tested it).
Please read instructions carefully, and enter the specific departments you want to have it be able to use for as stated in the PDF.
Benefits of Haiku/Canto in ccLink (Epic 2012 version) is that you can do some of your inbasket work, quickly review patient charts and do some remote clinical work. There are many limitations that future version of Epic are going to change as they release that tablets and phones are the future, rather than workstations.
All image input unless being done by nursing, should be made via Haiku/Canto going forward to be HIPAA compliant.

(See attached file: Haiku Canto instructions.pdf)
People can download and use the full version of ccLink via Citrix on their iPads or other tablets, but CCHS does not provider support for that and it is somewhat cumbersome from the point of view of someone who has used it. Rajiv
